Everyone’s living situation is different. One might live with their significant other, family of 5, their parents. Some have lots of pets others just one. Either way, it’s important to keep a clean home to prevent non-living allergens*, non-living allergen* build up, and to improve overall happiness! At times, it can feel like an impossible feat with beds that need to be made, floors that need to be mopped and dishes that need to be done! So why are you doing all the work yourself? Here’s how to make get everything organize in a few easy and simple steps.
Get Your Toddlers Involved (It’s Never Too Early!)
Implement a Reward System
Everyone could use a reason ‘why’ to stay on track. Gather all the markers, stickers, crayons and other craft tools you can find, then find a whiteboard. Make a list of all the family members names with the week’s chores that need to be completed. Be sure to make the chore age appropriate. You want each child to feel good about themselves, not frustrated because the task at hand is too difficult to complete. Decorate the chart so the charts seems like it’s the toddlers ‘own’.
Together as a family, come up with a reward for a week’s worth of chores accomplished. Would your kids like to head out to their favorite ice cream shop? Or, would everyone enjoy a round of bowling? Implement a reward that will motivate your family to do an excellent job taking care of their personal belongings. You’ll be making memories after the hard work is done!
